PuroClean of Lancaster Overcoming the Challenge of a Job with Limited Access

PuroClean of Lancaster bid on a contract for a residential demolition job in Lititz, PA. A setback to the job was there was no place to put a dumpster. The parking lot nearest to the residence is owned by a local hospital and there is no access behind the residence. Jeremy Hussein at PuroClean of Lancaster had previously used an Equipter 4000 on a roofing site and saw the potential of it helping in this scenario.

The Equipter 4000 is self-propelled, allowing it to be driven under its own power and positioned right where it is needed. For this demolition, PuroClean drove the Equipter onto the sidewalk to the front door of the home. The busy, narrow street in front of the home does not allow for parking, but the Equipter 4000 is small enough to sneak into the space.

The Equipter's box can hold 4.1 cubic yards of material and it can lift and dump 4,000 pounds of waste into a dumpster or the Equipter 4000 can be towed to dump the waste off site. The Equipter's drive system is disengaged when it goes into tow mode, allowing it to be towed like any other trailer behind a work truck.

On the day of the demolition there was pouring rain. Without the Equipter 4000, the crew would have had to use wheelbarrows to move hundreds of pounds of waste to a dumpster positioned blocks away. With the Equipter, they moved the material out of the front door and into the Equipter's container. No double handling of waste and no need to stow the refuse in a production vehicle. The Equipter made this job run quicker with less strain on the crew.

The Equipter 4000 is available to rent from hundreds of rental providers across the country, many offering delivery to your job site. To find the rental provider closest to you, please see our interactive rental map.
